Can't install Vista bêta 2 - no diks informations founded by
im just a newbie but found that using daemon tools i was able to install vista beta 2 without having to burn download to a dvd. daemon tools creates a virtual drive and was able to launch install from there, also make sure u disable firewall, virus scan, and antispyware for this will interrupt install process, one last thing i noticed that when i tried full install it gave me a message stating the it could not find ide drivers what ever that means and if i wanted to continue with install instead i chose upgrade wich given that its in beta its probably more safer option, again im just a newbie hope this was helpful good luck

i had the same problem. it was raid even though it was disabled..it still took up a lot of my second drive. i used the windows xp disk manager to repartition and reformat the part of the drive that it would let me use. after that, vista saw both of my hard drives.

Ok, i finally found the problems and fix it :) First, i change my Memory voltage from 2.6 to 2.7 Volts (CORSAIR XMS 3200) and now i don't get any errors system (BSOD) during installation. For information, Memtest 86+ and Microsoft memory diagnostic didn't found any errors before i changed the memory voltage. And to finish, i tried to disconnect my 2 HD RAID 0 without disabled RAID in my bios setup, but it was not enough. Disabling RAID in my bios setup was the solution. Now i've installed Windows Vista x64 without any problems. May theses tweaks help you ;) ++
